Scout Earns the Shoot! Nova Award

Scouts can earn a number of awards as they work toward the Eagle Scout rank. The Nova Awards program incorporates learning with cool activities and exposure to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). These activities and associated awards stimulate interest in STEM-related fields, and show how these subjects appear in everyday life and the world around us.

This summer, Lucas S. earned the Shoot! Nova Award. Shoot! is the Nova Award for investigating astronomy and projectile science. To earn this award, Lucas completed the Astronomy and Space Exploration merit badges and learned about related topics such as space, aviation, and weather. Great job Lucas!
